I’ve got to be honest with you – whenever I come up with a fantastically delicious recipe that requires 5 ingredients or less, I get a little giddy.
I started a tag solely to keep my 5 ingredients or less recipes together and easily searchable. I know I’ve talked about it before, but I truly love and appreciate simple recipes because they showcase how delicious and easy healthy eating can be.
Beyond that, this recipe features salmon. I’ve become obsessed with salmon recently. I have about 5 recipes to test out for salmon alone…luckily, summer is the perfect time for seafood, so you can expect to see a lot of seaside meals filling up my recipe index.
This is a very exciting month for me, so unfortunately I can’t say I’ll be able to keep up with posting every week.
I’ll be moving at the end of the month into a super nice apartment that is light-years better than what I’m living in now (complete with a much bigger kitchen and stainless steel appliances, plus more natural light). As a result, most of my free time this month will be spent packing and purging. I’m ruthlessly getting rid of stuff I just don’t use, striving for a more minimalist lifestyle. Of course, my kitchen will still be well-stocked with gadgets and pantry items…but hey, at least my closet will only have clothes I love?
Besides that, I’m finalizing plans to give my first ever cooking demo here in Fargo! I couldn’t be more ecstatic. That’s happening in June, but I’d still like to work on some recipes to debut there. Those recipes will later be posted to the blog, of course!

- In a small bowl, combine the three spices.
- Spread spice mixture generously on the skinless side of salmon (you may not use all of the spices, but you can enjoy this mixture on just about anything – eggs, chicken, steak, etc.!). Heat cooking fat in a cast iron skillet over medium to medium-high heat.
- Fry salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side, starting with the skin side.
- Serving Size: 1 fillet
