Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are quickly becoming one of my favorite foods to experiment with. I’ve got my sweet-and-spicy Thai Curry Chicken Wings, my recently-published Next Level Chicken Wings, and now these sticky-sweet Honey Garlic Chicken Wings to add to the growing list of chicken wing recipes on this blog.

Fortunately for me, it’s football season, so it’s the perfect time to brag about all the awesome chicken wing recipes that you can make for game day.

I’m not much of a sports fan, but I’m happy for any excuse to make chicken wings. I mean, if you invited me over for the big game, I’d probably have some fresh chicken wings in tow…because you can’t do football without chicken wings, right?

Homemade Sunflower Seed Butter | DoYouEvenPaleo.net

Homemade Sunflower Seed Butter

I’ve been meaning to post DIY basics like this homemade sunflower seed butter for a while…luckily for you, I’m finally seizing the opportunity.

I had an awesome idea for an upcoming recipe (now published!) that requires sunflower seed butter, but I was out. That’s not a problem for a well-stocked paleo kitchen (read: I have a nut & seed hoarding problem) so I just roasted up some raw sunflower seeds and made my own sunbutter! Oh my gosh, it’s like I’m a legit food blogger or something. That’s the kind of thing food bloggers do, right? Take pretty pictures of food presented in a nearly-unattainable way. Wow, I almost just offended myself – but at least I can take a joke! Ha.

Plantain, Bacon, and Kale Hash

What’s the ideal way to start your day?

Some might start a debate between pancakes and waffles (newsflash: there will never be a winner). Some might pine over a bowl of oatmeal. Some might dive into a monologue about the ideal muffin.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

The best morning meal has got to be a good breakfast hash.*

*Note: this is based entirely on my own personal opinion. You can think whatever you want.

Well…a good breakfast hash and a strong cup of light roast coffee. This recipe for plantain, bacon, and kale hash will get you halfway there.

3-Ingredient Sweet Plantain Cake

3-Ingredient Sweet Plantain Cake

The plantain obsession is real.

I must sound like your friend who just joined CrossFit, because I won’t shut up about plantains lately.

After posting my highly successful plantain patty recipe (seriously, y’all love those patties as much as I do), I knew I needed to do more with plantains, so I came up with a coconut chapo plantain juice and this amazing 3-ingredient sweet plantain cake.

Only 3 ingredients, you ask? Yes, of course, because I’m all about making recipes as simplistic as possible!

Coconut Chapo (Plantain) Juice | DoYouEvenPaleo.net

Coconut Chapo Plantain Juice

Plantains have quietly sneaked their way into the very top slot of my genuinely favorite foods. It’s a weird favorite food to have, but I talk about them with all of my friends and acquaintances who begrudgingly listen.

Most people either don’t know what they are or have had a lackluster experience, so I’m out to change that.

I have at least 2 in my pantry at any given time so I can whip up some plantain patties or tostones for dinner. But, as a recipe developer, I do need to try out new recipes, which led me to seek out traditional plantain recipes. I wasn’t sure what I’d find, but I stumbled on a smorgasbord of recipe ideas that I want to try! And one of them was chapo juice.
